QA Engineer

As a QA Engineer, you will focus on testing a sophisticated telco cloud orchestration platform designed to manage VNF, CNF, OpenStack, OpenShift, and AI-driven automation processes. You will work closely with developers and product managers to design and execute tests that ensure high-quality software delivery and smooth orchestration of telecom services. The ideal candidate should have experience in cloud-based environments, networking technologies, and scripting knowledge to automate test processes.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute manual and automated tests for telco cloud orchestration platforms.
• Write, maintain, and improve test scripts using scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Java.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand new product features and network service requirements.
• Identify, report, and track bugs related to cloud orchestration and network service deployment.
• Ensure compliance with telco standards and best practices during testing.
• Create and maintain detailed test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and bug reports.
• Participate in CI/CD processes for automated testing, with exposure to Jenkins

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical & Electronics, Information Technology, or related field.
• Experience with REST service test automation (Postman, or other tools/frameworks)
• Experience with the load testing tools (JMeter, or other tools/frameworks.)
• Experience in UI test automation frameworks, particularly Playwright with TypeScript and JavaScript.
• Familiarity with web technologies (HTML, CSS, and JavaScript) to analyze and interact with UI components.
• Experience in integrating UI automation tests with API and backend test workflows.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Ansible, Bash) for automation testing.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (e.g., Git), and automated testing tools.
• Familiarity with bug tracking using Jira and test management tools like Jira Agiletest
• Solid understanding of telecom networking standards, software development lifecycle (SDLC), and Agile methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Helm, and other cloud-native technologies.
• Experience with AI/ML-based systems or platforms that enhance network automation. (is a plus)
• Experience in testing cloud orchestration platforms and services in telecom environments.
• Knowledge of OpenStack, OpenShift, VNF, and CNF technologies.
• ISTQB certification or other relevant testing certifications. (is a plus)
